Would you like an in-depth look at cylindrical locks from a Schlage
lock expert? This comprehensive, hands-on class covers the features,
design, and operation of the Schlage ND Series. You will have the
opportunity to assemble some of the most popular ND Series locks as
well as correctly time the locks for proper operation. Attend this
session and you will leave with expertise about this heavy-duty lock.
Course length: 1 day
Topics include:
▪ Common lock functions and applications
▪ How to assemble classroom, storeroom, and entrance/office
function locks
▪ Installation procedures
▪ Electrified and electronic ND Series functions and features
▪ Maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing tips
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
▪ Interpret lock function descriptions
▪ Identify parts for specific functions and explain how they
provide the needed lock behaviors
▪ Install an ND lock in the industry standard 161 door prep
▪ Contrast the electrified and electronic ND locks
▪ Properly service and maintain ND Series locks
▪ Identify the root cause when a lock isn’t operating as
expected, and then fix the problem
Who should attend:
Institutional and commercial locksmiths, maintenance and facility
personnel, or any one responsible for servicing commercial locks.
Some experience in door hardware is recommended.
